Voisin nyt hieman palata ajassa taaksepäin ja kertoa kesän Hamptons reissusta, josta en ole vielä teille kerennyt kertoa. Mitä tiesin Hamptonsista ennen? Tiesin, että se on paikka rikkaille ja se on paikka, jonne ainakin kesäisin newyorkilaiset matkaavat viikonloppureissuille loistohotelleihin. Sen enempää ei minun ollut tarvetta siitä aikaisemmin tietää ja kiusata itseäni. Mutta oi niin ihana kesä! Pääsin käymään ja näkemään Hamptonsin. Hamptonsiin pääset kätevästi junalla, bussilla, autolla tietenkin ja helikopterilla! Olisipa ollut aika huikeaa päästä helikopteri kyydillä, mutta tällä kertaa käytimme ihan autokyytiä. Majoitus oli järjestetty erääseen taloon tai oikeastaan kartanoon, mutta Hamptonsissa ei varmaan muita kuin kartanoita olekaan. Alla hieman kuvia majoituksesta.
Now I could go little bit back in time and tell about my The Hamptons weekend that I haven't told you about yet. What did I know about The Hamptons earlier? I knew it's a place for rich people and it's a place to newyorkers to go spend their weekends to luxury hotels. That's all I needed to know. I didn't need to tease my self more. But then it happened I got a change to experience all that. You can travel there by train,by bus, by car of course and helicopter! It would have been so awsome to get there by helicopter but this time we used a car. Hosting was arranged in a house or actually it was a manor house for me. I'm not totally sure if there is any "normal size" houses there. There is some pics about the house.
Sisustus talossa oli erittäin tyylikäs ja selkeä linjainen. Suurista ikkunoista tulvi valoa sisään, joten kokonaisuus oli todella raikas. Erittäin Hamptons tyylinen. Voit vaikka googlata The Hamptons style ja katsoa, mitä kuvahaku näyttää. Kuva yllä on keittiöstä ja taustalla ruokailutila. Minusta tuntui myös, että talo oli suunniteltu täydelliseksi biletaloksi, koska makuuhuoneet ja muut tilat oli sijoiteltu niin, että oli oikeastaan mahdotonta tietää, missä muut ihmiset olivat, jos he eivät käyttäneet yleisiä tiloja. Loistoa!
The decoration in the house was very classy and uncluttered. The light was pouring in from the big windows and that made the whole decoration very fresh. Very The Hamptons style. The picture above is from the kithcen and there is a dining area in the backround. It felt also that the house was architect to be a perfect party house because it was almost impossible know where the others were if they weren't using the public areas. So awsome!
